1. Install your OBS Studio

Let’s go to OBS official website https://obsproject.com/ , then you can download the software for Windows system here (use mouse to show), macOS (use mouse to show), and Linux (click). For Linux systems users, you need to follow the instruction here to install the OBS software.
2. Get to know OBS Studio
Hello, it’s Antonia from 360Crossmedia, today I will show you the basic features of OBS. Now, open you installed software, for the new users the screen capture area within the window should be black. Then you can start with SOURCES, we click “+” to choose what to add to the screen capture. You have all those options (use mouse to show the options) which allows you to do screen videos, streaming videos, image videos etc. Let’s try with DISPLAY CAPTURE, each creation will have the name automatically, you can change it if you want, make sure MAKE SOURCE VISIBLE is checked, then click ok. Click on the display button to select the monitor you would like to use to record the video.
If you have one monitor, you will see only one option. While you record the video, if you want your mouse cursor to be captured, don’t forget to check your capture cursor (use mouse to show). Let’s go back to SOURCES again, if you want to remove one monitor, just simply click “-“ to delete it. And always make sure the source you want to use is at the top of the list.
Now you can choose the sound from MIXTER, you can easily know if your microphone works well by look at the volume bar here. By changing the setting here, we can choose the microphone you want to use in PROPERTIES.
